For those who are new to Blessed, or are uncertain as to what separates the Blessed from the rest, I'm here to enlighten you!
Since I can't account for each and every situation off the top of my head, in one sitting, I do hope you'll forgive the fact that the contents of this post are subject to change.
1.) We are tolerant and/or accepting of others' differences; we strive to peacefully coexist, at all times.
2.) We attempt to remain aware of the fact that all Blessed, officers or not, are the face of the faction.
3.) We do not intentionally and/or maliciously KS (killsteal) someone without justifiable cause.
4.) We shun the tactics of sharks that take advantage of new players and the confused, choosing, instead, to aid those in need, when we can.
5.) We do not treat the faction as our own personal piggy bank.
6.) We seek to aid those in need of assistance, whenever it isn't a true detriment to our current goals.
7.) We strive to respect the ranks within our faction and adhere to the wishes of Blessed's hierarchy, so long as it is reasonable and fair.
8.) We all aim to strengthen Blessed in any way we can....
For the time being, my brain is exhausted.
I'll leave this for now and add as needed.
Feel free to remind me if I've forgotten an important topic of interest.
Since I can't account for each and every situation off the top of my head, in one sitting, I do hope you'll forgive the fact that the contents of this post are subject to change.
1.) We are tolerant and/or accepting of others' differences; we strive to peacefully coexist, at all times.
We don't discriminate. We don't attempt to force our views on others. We attempt not to voice thoughts/ideas we know may be inflammatory, abusive or hurtful to others.
2.) We attempt to remain aware of the fact that all Blessed, officers or not, are the face of the faction.
Hopefully, all feel a fervent desire to represent Blessed in the best possible light. That said, we all have moments where our tempers get the best of us and we lash out. If I ever find myself in that situation, I do my best to apologize, if I've wrongly vented my anger on someone.
3.) We do not intentionally and/or maliciously KS (killsteal) someone without justifiable cause.
This one is a bit tricky, in that it's difficult to determine what constitutes "justifiable cause." However, in my opinion, if someone has KSed you on multiple occasions--whether it be cumulative or consecutive--and show no remorse for their actions, they've established the fact that they show no real regard as the rights to any mob they hit, first.
4.) We shun the tactics of sharks that take advantage of new players and the confused, choosing, instead, to aid those in need, when we can.
Do you remember when you were level five and still getting the hang of simply interacting with those around you? Perhaps a person sent a request for a duel and, wondering what it was like, you accepted. They probably allowed you to whale on them for a while--smugly laughing while they sat, unmoving, your attacks doing little to nothing to them. Then, tired of showing off, they stood up and killed you with little effort.
That person is a shark. We do not care for this type of person. Their actions are belittling and discouraging to their victims, and usually committed based on a severe lack of personal security and a noticeable lack of true self-confidence, often masked by bluster and boasting.
5.) We do not treat the faction as our own personal piggy bank.
Your faction, ingame, is your family. They have your back if you're in need of assistance. They're not people you can use for your own purposes, without giving anything in return. You shouldn't seek to fleece them out of more money than an item is worth. You shouldn't view them as your personal bank.
For a brief example.... If you want an item made by someone with a skill you don't possess, for instance, having the materials required to make the item would be considered polite and correct, as it would otherwise come out of their own proverbial pocket--items they collected through their own efforts or money.
This is not to say that certain members of our ranks wouldn't gladly give you their last few coins, as many are very gracious and generous. Nor should this read as a hint to never ask your faction mates for help, if you're in need. Simply that you shouldn't seek to take advantage of the fact that you share a faction or use people for their kindness.
6.) We seek to aid those in need of assistance, whenever it isn't a true detriment to our current goals.
What this means is, if someone is struggling and you have a moment, try to do a kind thing for them. That said, if it would negatively affect your gaming experience, avoiding the situation or asking if someone in the faction has a free moment to help would be preferable. We're nice, but we're not doormats and we've got our own goals to keep in mind.
7.) We strive to respect the ranks within our faction and adhere to the wishes of Blessed's hierarchy, so long as it is reasonable and fair.
First and foremost, it's important that all understand that their thoughts and feelings are of utmost importance to the leaders of Blessed.
If you have an issue with anything, your first action should be to bring it up to a trusted officer, whosoever it may be. We want all of our members to feel comfortable with the faction and their place within it. We're an understanding crowd and are eager to ensure that your views are taken into account.
8.) We all aim to strengthen Blessed in any way we can....
...be that through leveling our characters in as consistent a fashion as we can manage, attempting to recruit new members while using our good judgment, donating a little bit here and there as we can afford, providing our services to others if we've the time and ability, answering questions for others, and so on. There are many ways you can aid your faction, and we are exceedingly grateful those who are eager to do so.
For the time being, my brain is exhausted.
I'll leave this for now and add as needed.
