Alright, so, as with every class, the Venomancer has a specific job.
In most cases, this job is to lure mobs. Luring, which will be explained further in a moment, is the act of pulling one, and only one mob away from a large group of mobs.
Although this is generally what most Venos are prized for, they also make excellent tanks [No where near a Barb's tanking power, but formidable.] and great DDs (Damage-Dealers].
Please note that this is a general overview of a Veno's various jobs in a squad, and all should feel free to post any advice, ideas, or additional information they might want to share.

Luring:
Luring can be done by any Venomancer with a pet. To lure, simply send the pet in to attack one mob, and once it uses its aggro-skill [Flesh Ream, Bash, etc], you stow the pet. This will cause the mob to come running after the Veno herself, and it is advised that the Veno runs away, or quickly pulls the pet out once again to defend herself if there isn't anyone there to steal aggro from her.
Tanking:
Tanking with pets is simpler than tanking with a Barb, from the tank's point of view. To tank on a Veno, you merely send in the pet, and make sure that it holds aggro while you and others attack. Be sure that your pet can hold aggro, otherwise the mob will go after the player that deals the highest damage, and often times these are the players with the lowest defense.
Dealing Damage:
DD Venos are generally pure magic, or "Nuke" Venos. They focus on attack power more than resilience, and while acting as the Damage-Dealer in a squad, will support a tank by killing the mob/s he or she is attacking.
